| Congratulations on purchasing your
Bin-Tow*. This simple and unique device is designed to enable you
to tow your wheelybin safely behind your car from house to lane-end.
It is a simple to use, high quality product that will give years of
service.
The Bin-Tow* can be used with any vehicle fitted with a standard
50mm tow hitch. Please ensure that wheelybin to be towed is in good
general condition and that the wheels are securely fitted and rotating
freely. The device will not only hold the bin safely and securely
behind your car but also, due to the uniqueness of its design, will
hold the bin lid closed in operation at the recommended speed. If
towing on exceptionally rough terrain, reduce speed to avoid damage
to the bin. |
| |
| Fitting the Bin-Tow* to your
car |
- Line up the slot in the underside of the Bin-Tow* with the stem
of the ball hitch
- Slide the tube sideways over the ball hitch with the carry arms
facing towards you
- Once the tube is fully engaged over the ball (to the end of
the slot) rotate it downwards to lock the Bin-Tow* in place. The
carry arms will now be hanging rearwards and free to rotate
|
| |
| Engaging your wheelybin in
the Bin-Tow* |
- With the Bin-Tow* securely fitted to the towbar, place the wheelybin
at the rear of the vehicle with the its handles facing the rear
of the vehicle
- Tilt the bin forwards towards the Bin-Tow* sliding the handles
down into the Bin-Tow* arms
- Ensure that the bin handles are fully engaged at the bottom
of the Bin-Tow* carry arms
- The wheelybin lid will now rest against the tips of the Bin-Tow*
arms thus securing the contents of the bin against spillage during
towing
|
| |
| Towing with your Bin-Tow* |
- At all times do not exceed the maximum wheelybin recommended
towing speed of 5mph
- Whilst it is exceptionally unlikely, it is possible that, for
example, under severe conditions or if the Bin-Tow* is misused,
the wheelybin may become detached from the car. At all times it
is the responsibility of the driver to ensure safe and proper
use. Therefore, whilst towing it is recommended that the operator
checks periodically in the rear-view mirror for separation of
the wheelybin from the towing vehicle and/or spillage of the wheelybin
contents
- Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should this device be used on public
or adopted roads
- The Bin-Tow* is designed for private and domestic use. It is
not designed for commercial use.
- The Bin-Tow* is designed exclusively for use with domestic wheelybins
only
